Hi, my name is Carole May, and I spend my days cooking, playing, and enjoying the company of my two children. I love to cook and share my recipes with everyone. I have been cooking for my family for years and decided to start sharing my recipes with the world.
But I wasn’t like this the whole time. One Day, I was invited to my friend’s daughter’s birthday party, and when I arrived, I was handed a list of dishes to prepare from start to finish. I was clueless about how even to make a cake.
I started with something simple, a salad, and it was an utter disaster.
The dressing came out like soup, and the lettuce wilted as it sat in the bowl. It looked too unappetizing that nobody touched it, so we had cold sandwiches instead.
I also felt a lot of pressure because my friend had already prepared side dishes and was already cooking the main dish- roast beef. I improvised by making some peanut butter cookies which were great success–if by success, you mean they were eaten rather than having any flavor or texture that could be discerned.
The next thing on the list was brownies, which turned out horribly, too, as they were so hard on the outside but soft and wet on the inside. The frosting came out looking like an overcooked birthday cake.
After that incident, I started to take cooking classes. And eventually moved up to head chef at a restaurant where people enjoy their food while they’re sitting under the sunshine or surrounded by the stars each night!
